Before you start

Have Muse open and use the LaunchBox account that owns your community. Member or admin access alone does not qualify for this connection. This walkthrough covers connecting an existing community.

Five steps to get connected

  1. Give Muse the server address

In your Muse chat, ask: “Connect to LaunchBox at the address below.”

    https://www.launchbox.space/api/mcp

  2. Follow the Connect prompts

When Muse shows the Launchbox connector card, choose Connect. Review the connection notice and choose Connect again to open LaunchBox’s approval page.

  3. Sign in without losing your place

If you’re signed out, choose Sign in to LaunchBox. Enter your email and password in the sign-in window. You’ll stay on the approval page with your connection request preserved. If you’re already signed in, continue to the next step.

  4. Choose your community and permissions

If you see a choice of purpose, select Manage a community I own. Choose your community, then read the permissions. Leave optional permissions off unless you need them. Choose Allow connection to return to Muse.

Some permissions allow publishing or changing content. Signing in does not approve access; the final Allow connection button does.

  5. Confirm the connection in Muse

Ask: “Which LaunchBox community am I connected to? Find a LaunchBox help guide without changing or publishing anything.” Confirm that Muse identifies your community and successfully retrieves a guide.

If you get stuck

My community isn’t listed

Check which email is signed in on the approval page. Use the account that owns the community; an admin or member account may not have ownership. Return to Muse to start a fresh connection if you need to change accounts.

Muse says it’s connected, but a tool fails

Ask Muse to check the connected community and retrieve a help guide. If it reports an expired connection or missing permission, reconnect and review the requested access. Refreshing an existing connection does not automatically add optional permissions.

I want to disconnect Muse

Open AI connections, find Muse under Connected assistants, and choose Disconnect. This stops future access through that connection. Previously saved work remains in LaunchBox.
