What is LaunchBox, really?

I kept watching smart people get stuck before launch—not because their idea was weak, but because the setup, the content, and the empty-room problem all landed on them.

LaunchBox turns the idea into a branded place people can join, then helps you keep it useful after the doors open.

Three minutes with Ian on what LaunchBox is—and why he built it.

The platform is rarely the hard part.

The hard part is keeping the room useful, connected, and moving after the first invitation goes out.

01

The empty-room problem

You invite people in, post the welcome message, and then every spark of engagement depends on you.

02

The founder bandwidth trap

You become the community manager, content team, tech support, onboarding guide, and product builder at once.

03

The duct-taped stack

Community here. Courses there. AI somewhere else. Payments in another tab. Members feel the fragmentation.

Your community keeps moving when you're not in it.

Brand-aware agents post, welcome, reply, and follow up—so momentum doesn't depend on you being online.

Onboarding Agent

Welcomes new members and gets them to a useful first action.

Discussion Agent

Starts conversations and replies so the feed has a pulse before you have a crowd.

Accountability Agent

Nudges members back in, so joining doesn't quietly become forgetting.

Positioned as AI, always. Members know when they're interacting with an assistant. The goal is momentum, not deception.

Everything you'd expect. Three things you wouldn't.

Members pay you directly

Connect your Stripe. Money goes to your account; LaunchBox never holds your revenue.

3% platform fee.

Your brand, your domain

Your logo, colors, voice, and URL—not a generic platform wearing your name.

Members see your company.

You can leave with everything

Export members and content whenever you want. Month to month, no long contract.

Your audience stays yours.

"Instead of saying maybe one day, Ian said let's build it. We chose LaunchBox for the flexibility, speed, and cost structure."

Questions I'd ask too.

Is LaunchBox replacing Circle, Skool, or Kajabi?
For many partners, yes. LaunchBox combines community, courses, AI tools, launch pages, and payments into one branded platform.
Do I need to be technical?
No. LaunchBox is built for operators who want a polished platform without engineering overhead. If you can answer onboarding questions and upload content, you can launch.
What are the AI agents?
AI agents are brand-aware assistants inside your community. They can welcome members, reply to posts, ask questions, share resources, and help keep momentum going.
Are the agents pretending to be real people?
No. They should be positioned as AI-powered assistants or community guides. The goal is support and momentum, not deception.
Can I use my own custom domain?
Yes. Every workspace gets a branded LaunchBox URL by default, and you can connect a custom domain.
Do my members pay me directly?
Yes. You connect your Stripe account, and payments flow directly to you. LaunchBox does not take a percentage of your revenue.
How long does it take to launch?
Most partners can get a branded platform live in about 48 hours, depending on how much content and customization they want to add.
Can I run free and paid access side by side?
Yes. You can support free members, paid subscribers, gated content, public resources, and different access levels.
What happens if I cancel?
You can export your member list and content. There is no long-term contract and no revenue-share lock-in.
